AK Adventure Days 41-42 Homer

Well...today...I’m feeling truly rural Alaskan!!...now this is a PRAISE for rural Alaska ...NOT a SLAM!!

I’m wearing my “work” clothes out in public!!—to the grocery store (that’s not too weird—there are fisher people, road construction workers...and all sorts of other working folks buying Starbucks!!), to the library and out to a cafe!!

Today’s outfit—High-water sky blue carhardt scrub pants, a too big Alaska sweatshirt, and croc sandals—with blue wool sock!!...quite a SIGHT I’d imagine!!...no one gave me a second look!!...I guess I’m fitting in with the locals!!

Chocolate bun of course from the 2 Sister’s Bakery....

Then to the library....Lupines are blooming everywhere and I even saw 2 sand hill cranes strolling in front of the library!!

Stopped at a new-to-me cafe to grab a sandwich for lunch.  Very cute decor....

I helped Callahans at the AirBnB they are managing for friends for the summer...ran errands for the upcoming 1 year old’s birthday party...then back to the Callahans to help with party prep!!

This little one is QUITE a FARM GIRL!! While her mom is milking the cow...she just crawls around the pasture...playing in the dirt with the dog...splashing in the bucket of mash for the pigs...she’s quite happy to be doing her own thing by herself!!
