We headed to Kaladi Bros coffee shop...then on to walk the Kenai Beach....
We couldn’t park where I normally park to access the Kenai Beach...because it was DIP NET time until the end of the month!!...fortunately...there was another day use only parking lot near by for us non-fisher people!! It WAS cool to see the dip-netters!!
Time for brunch at Veronica’s...YAY!!...and then another Russian Orthodox Church!!
Heading south for photo ops for my peep...the Ninilchik Russian Orthodox Church...quick stop at The Buzz coffee shop...to Anchor Point...to Nikolaevsk Russian Orthodox Church...and through Caribou Hills to see the fire weed covered hills!!
Scenic drive out East End Rd...the Jones’s peonies were all gone...so couldn’t share that loveliness!!...back into town and then to Bear Creek Winery for a wine tasting and tour of the grounds!!
REALLY!!??...Only in Alaska!!
Fun time at the winery...now off to eat dinner on the Spit and check out the souvenir shops!!
Somehow didn’t get any photo of this night’s RV park!!...pretty boring place except it did offer a nice view across the bay!!
Bathroom update: we arrived at the park around 8:00pm...the office closed at 9:00pm...and the only way to get into the THREE ladies’ showers was for the front desk to BUZZ you in!!...there was a bunch of ladies already waiting to shower!!...and IF we hadn’t gotten there before 9:00pm...S.O.L. on having a shower that night!!
Then...the next morning...we were going to do some laundry before heading north...well...just think!!...the office didn’t open until 8:00am...and the laundry room had a padlock on it!! AARGH!! What a place!!...they should have a key pad with code access for showers and laundry!! This is Alaska!!...it doesn’t get dark until LATE...if at all...so tourists are out and about at all hours!! Who wants to coordinate your tourism around an 8am-9pm time constraint!!??
