We passed by hay fields galore, horse and cattle ranches...and then on to high desert mountains. There was a beautiful river running through the valley...with River rafting companies advertised all along the way....but even though it was a HOT day (locals were saying anywhere between 33-40 degrees Celsius!!) we saw nary a white water rafter. We did see tubers later on down river where the river was deeper and slower moving.
