I determined there are two types of bunk beds and mattresses at the places along the Way. There are wooden frame and metal frame beds. The wooden ones squeak and wiggle too much!! The mattresses come in foam rubber and inner-spring types. The foam are very comfy and the inner-spring kind sucks!!
Every place in the mattress where there are inner-springs... About every 6 inches...the mattress cover fabric is all there is between the spring and your hip...or knee...or elbow...!!
Last night... With the inner-spring kind facing me again...I was determined to figure out a way to beat it and get a good night's sleep!!...so...side note--the pillows are a bolster type but a little more flattish instead of round...and about the length of our king size pillows ...so I just slept in my stomach on top of the pillow ... It worked great!! Voila!!...remember this for the next trip!!
