AK Adventure Day 1-to Dalhart, TX

We left San Marcos and drove north and west 10 hours.

We passed through the central west TX oil fields...through wind farms...ranch land...hay fields...past Palo Duro Canyon area and ended the day in the lovely high plains rolling hills of the far northwest TX panhandle (the last time I was in this part of TX was 1998 on the first drive to Alaska!!)...at the Dalhart Corral RV Park tonight.  CRAZY windy here upon arrival...but now that the sun is going down, it has died down quite a bit.  55 degrees now, with a projected low of 46 degrees!!...LOVELY!!...no need for the fan, nor the heater tonight...we have PLENTY of covers!!
(Sucky WiFi...so the blog formatting is screwy!!...typical challenges of the gypsy nomad lifestyle!!)
