Summer Gypsy Working Vacation--Part 5

I actually pulled off the road...on occasion...to get a shot of some jewel...like some old stuff...

...and then mostly did out of the window shots of interesting things...like casinos...

...other cool stuff traveling down the highways...LOVE seeing these concrete highway girders, too!!...

...and other cool stuff...

...if I hadn't been paying attention...I would have missed the two hot-air balloons!!...

These poor feed-lot cows stood on hills and gazed longingly off in the distance at their free-range cousins...all of course...bound for the same place...the slaughter house!!...

...chem-trails everywhere!!...

...even polo fields!!...

...folks having FUN!!...

...Canadian geese who didn't realize it was time to fly SOUTH!!...

...missed too many opportunities of flags...

...ingenious way to advertise your used vehicle business...just park your inventory along your highway frontage!!...

...and HOW did this HUGE tree actually survive to grow this BIG...inside an old grain silo!!??...

...another passion...unusual/beautiful/unique overpasses...

...and what is this cone thingy??...saw them all over...at locations that seemed part of the highway maintenance system...w/ piles of gravel...etc...

...obviously, must be in Native American territories...

...so many LOVELY water features...rivers...lakes...ponds...creeks...just missed too many of them!!...

...and I DO have a passion for windmills!!...

Summer Gypsy Working Vacation--Part 4

...very interesting to see colors of the freshly plowed soil in different parts of the country...

...heading south across two states showed the areas to have had less and less rain...from green and lush to brown and dead...so it is in the summer...

...there were fields of sorghum (aka milo) in various stages of maturity.  Green seed heads, gold-ish and red. The mature red seed heads make for the most beautiful fields.

...and I think the lush, green fields were soybeans...and the fields with the white flowers were cotton.

...hay fields in various stages of harvesting...even alongside the highways...SMART!!

...not sure...corn?? or sorghum??...also, saw many fields in various stages of maturity/harvest...

 ...and many pecan orchards....
