Nostalgia

WELCOME new year...new memories...new adventures...new friends....

...thinking with her body, so there's a lot of spontaneous dancing involved....

...song of the day...Wichita Lineman...not sure why that one causes feelings of nostalgia!!...1968...hmmmm...perhaps it is just the melancholy sound of the song....

...what is this melancholia??...this feeling of a missed life??... when I listen--and especially...when I watch music videos of classic rock bands??...and now...I'm even feeling those feelings when listening to the new folk rock music?? Perhaps those feelings of longing...of nostalgia...are the impetus for this wonderful gypsy adventure I am on....who knows!!?? I shake off the melancholia and embrace the excitement of possibilities...helping to build a treehouse hostel in the jungle...permaculture gardening in the south of France...housesitting for a Canadian family with a view of the mountains...the opportunities are limitless!! YAAHOO!!

The important thing isn't the house. It's the ability to make it. You carry that in your brain and in your hands, wherever you go.... It's one thing to carry your life wherever you go. Another thing to always go looking for it somewhere else. Animal Dreams

You can recreate yourself as many times as there are cities in the world. I think it is for that reason that we all love to travel.
This is the part where you find out who you are.
When in doubt, travel.
Let's go somewhere where nobody knows our name.
Life was meant for good friends and great adventures.
You can't buy happiness but you can buy a plane ticket and that's kind of the same thing.
We must take adventures in order to know where we truly belong.
The tans will fade, but the memories will last forever.
